Arnold Tagne Fokam, born August 16, 1996 in Kumba, Cameroon is a visual artist who lives and works between Nkongsamba and Douala. He has a Master’s degree in Fine Arts from the Institute of Fine Arts of the University of Douala in Nkongsamba where he practices his passion for drawing. His artistic work revolves around the relationship between water and the body, through which he advocates for a more prestigious status for women in society and a change of perspective on Africa. His work has been the subject of several group exhibitions and is part of private collections in Congo, Cameroon, France and London, among others.
Arnold Tagne Fokam, né le 16 Aout 1996 à Kumba au Cameroun est un artiste plasticien qui vit et travaille entre Nkongsamba et Douala. Il est diplômé d’un Master en Arts Plastiques de l’Institut des Beaux-Arts de l’université de Douala à Nkongsamba où il pratique sa passion du dessin. Son travail artistique s’articule autour de la relation entre l’eau et le corps, à travers lequel il milite pour un statut plus prestigieux pour les femmes au sein de la société́ et un changement de regard sur l’Afrique. Son travail a fait l’objet de plusieurs expositions collectives et fait partie de collections privées entre autres au Congo, au Cameroun, en France ou à Londres.
