Invited by the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Arts of Benin, Jean-Michel Abimbola, the artists were welcomed in residence to realize, together, the artwork that will travel into space!
For more than a month, the artists of the African Space Art Project, Michel Ekeba, Geraldine Tobé and Jean David Nkot were in residence at the CCRI John Smith in Ouidah, Benin, to work on the creation of a collective work, symbol of the commitment of contemporary African artists to the future of their continent. Accompanied by Jean-Philippe AKA and Azubuike NWAGBOGU, the three artists were able to develop and create the first African work of contemporary art for the space!
